Would you be prepared if your dog or cat had a medical emergency?

This course is designed to teach you to stabilize your pet until veterinary care is obtained. It is not intended to replace veterinarian care and we encourage regular veterinarian check-ups. No prior medical knowledge is necessary to take this certificate course!

Walks 'N' Wags' Pet First Aid Course
It may be the most comprehensive of its kind. Important topics covered in the pet first aid courses include: immediate steps to take in an emergency, how to handle bleeding wounds and bone injuries, how to perform Artificial Respiration and CPR, what to do for poisoning and heat/cold injuries, and more. We also cover how to recognize signs of numerous illnesses as well as parasites. Lastly, we include an emphasis on methods of preventing illness and injury.

Pet First Aid participants are made up of concerned pet lovers just like yourself. We know you love your pet! We are offering Pet First Aid courses at the following locations and are now accepting registrations

You may visit http://www.lifesruff.ca for more details and course content . Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. We are unable to reserve a space without a completed registration form and payment. Please note that the Pet First Aid course price of $190.95 is non-refundable.

All registrations must be received two weeks before the course date to accommodate shipment of manuals.

  1. A completed registration form from the "Pet First Aid Registration Form" download
  2. Payment in the form of cheque, money order, VISA or MasterCard information.
  3. Proof of vaccination.
    Please note that while not mandatory, we strongly recommend your dog be vaccinated for Bordetella (canine cough).

We regret that we cannot hold any spaces without receipt of all 3 of the above items.

You will receive notification of receipt of your registration form and then confirmation by email, once your payment has been processed. Please feel free to contact me by email or telephone, should you have any questions.

Please note: Quiet, friendly dogs who are comfortable being handled may attend the course. Dogs who are not quiet will have to be taken home. No refund will apply.
