Unfortunately, sometimes Cresteds end up in situations out of their control. Through no fault of their own, they are in need of a new foster or forever home. If you are interested in a rescue Crested, or would like to help out (in any way!) please contact the rescue organizations listed below.

What can you do to help?

• Donate: Not only do rescues need money to support the dogs in their care (for things such as food, vet care, travel expenses, etc), rescues are also in need of practical things, like bedding, blankets, crates, food, toys, dishes and collars. Many rescues also sponsor raffles to raise money, so items that can be raffled off are also greatly appreciated.
• Foster: Some dogs are not ready for their forever home right away, and need a safe place to stay while they heal their physical and/or mental wounds. Knowing that you are helping a dog along the road to recovery is a very rewarding experience!
• Transport: Dogs in need aren’t always located close to the people who want to help them. Transports are needed to get a dog from a bad situation into a stable environment, or to help relocate a dog to his new forever family. If you are planning a trip, by car or by air, contact your local rescue to see if your trip can aid in a rescue’s journey.
• Contact Rescue: If you’d like to help, but don’t know how, contact your local rescue organization and ask what you can do to help!
