These awards are intended to recognize those dogs that have excelled in various events and competitions. Since we are a Canadian Club, our focus is on events within the CKC, however we understand that there are many venues which our dogs can compete in, and value them all.
Achievement awards are presented annually. To be eligible for an award, the owner or breeder of the dog must be a member of the Chinese Crested Club of Canada at the time the award is presented. These titles are Chinese Crested Club of Canada designations, and are not officially recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club, or any other national club.Proof of titles may be requested with your submission.
Versatility Certificate (VC):
Requires 3 titles
Versatility Certificate Excellent (VCX):
Requires 6 titles
Definition of Event:
A dog can earn multiple titles in each event. Events are described as separate area’s of competition, typically where one level must be completed before you can move on to the next level. For example, a dog with AgN, AgI and AgX would not qualify for the VC award, as it doesn’t have 3 titles in 2 separate events. The dog would have to earn an additional title through the CKC (sticking with the Agility theme, they could earn an AgNJ title) to qualify.
for VC and VCX titles, the CGN title awarded by the CKC can only be counted towards a Wildcard slot.
Wildcards are open slots and can be completed in a variety of ways:
: Clubs accepted as part of the Wildcard slot include any venue officially accepted by the CKC, in addition to events hosted by clubs such as the United Kennel Club
(UKC), Canadian Association of Rally Obedience
(CARO), Agility Association of Canada
(AAC), North American Dog Agility Council
(NADAC), Canine Musical Freestyle Organization
(Paws2Dance freestyle), Canadian Disc Dog Association
(CDDA) . If your dog has earned a title in a venue not listed, please contact us to verify if that venue or title may be used.
