Memorial Award

In 2008, the Crested community lost not one, but two very special people. Lis’ Kristoff and Teresa Moreu were great souls within the crested community, the love they shared for their dogs and their fellow man was evident to everyone who knew them. Those who knew them, loved them, which is a great way to live!

Sadly, Lis’ lost her struggle with Cancer on the May 6th, 2008, surrounded by her mother, dear friends, and of course her Chinese Cresteds. Teresa’s passing was quick and unexpected, she was found in her bed on the morning of June 8th, 2008.

Below is a quote from one of Lis’ last e-mails.

Remember this weekend, to enjoy your friends and dogs, and should success come, enjoy and embrace it, if it doesn’t, never forget the love of the game and the friendships we have forged.

In memory of Lis’ and Teresa, the club has awarded a commemorative Plaque, to the club member whom best exemplifies a strong character, good will and sportsmanship, and keeps the spirit of Teresa and Lis’ alive among our community. The membership has voted a deserving recipient of this memorial award, which will be awarded annually.

For those of you who haven’t seen it, here is the youTube video of Lis’ and Diva’s last Agility run together.
